We have made several of these ellipse tables, but none quite like this one. Truly a one of a kind. We used curly maple for the top, mahogany for the base and danish chord for the shelf. The top has three coats of lacquer for durability (impervious to cup rings), the base has three coats of Milk Paint which is sanded slightly to expose some of the natural wood color and the danish chord is dyed to match.
