Back by popular demand! Join us for this one day intensive woodworking course. We start the day with a short lecture on wood technology, different cuts and species of wood, and much more. Then it's right into getting our hands dirty. After milling a perfect board using shop machinery, we resaw and glue it up as a book match. You will leave with a basic cutting board once we clean it up and sand it smooth. After lunch, we will explore hand tools and get into hand cutting mortice and tennon joints. We will show you several ways to execute this joint using different methods. At the end of the day, I'll demonstrate how to hand cut a dovetail joint. A Q and A session will end the day. We've been doing this class for years and it has proven to be a great time. This intro class is perfect for someone who wants to start their dive into fine woodworking.
