Oct 3. 9am-5pm
Intro To Woodworking is a one day intensive class geared toward the absolute beginner to intermediate woodworkers. We start the day with a chalk board lesson on wood technology, machine use and shop flow. We then move right into milling a “perfect board” using a planer, jointer, and tablesaw. We will then resaw our perfect board and edge glue it. After a quick lunch, we will move into prepping stock which we will use to cut and fit a Mortise and Tennon joint with various hand tools. Within that time, we will do another chalk board lesson on sharpening and hand tool use. The day is rounded out with a dovetail joint demo. Free time to explore will happen intermittently throughout the day. This class is always a good time and a worthy use of a Saturday.
